Terms of Use

Last updated: 29 October 2026

These terms (also our end-user licence agreement) are an agreement between you and Stackd Social Ltd ("we", "us") about your use of the Stackd app and service. You agree to them when you create an account. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information.

Who can use Stackd

You must be at least 13 years old to use Stackd. You're responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity on it.

Your licence to use the app

We give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the Stackd app on Apple devices that you own or control, as allowed by these terms and the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, rent or resell the app, except where the law allows you to.

Your photos

They're yours. You keep ownership of the photos and videos you share.

What you let us do with them. To run Stackd, you give us permission to store, copy and deliver the photos you share, only so the people you choose can see them and only for as long as the stack exists. Your photos are end-to-end encrypted, so we can't see them. If someone reports a photo or stack, their phone sends us a readable copy, and you let us use it to review the report and act on it.

What you let the people you share with do. The people you send a stack to can view it and save photos to their own devices. Once someone saves a photo, it's on their device and outside our control, so only share photos you're happy for those people to keep.

No tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users

Stackd has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You must not use Stackd to share, or try to share:

You also must not try to get into other people's accounts or stacks, get around a block, interfere with how Stackd works, or use it to break the law.

Reporting and blocking

You can report any photo, stack or person from the ••• menu, and block anyone so they can't send you stacks or find you. We review reports within 24 hours. If something breaks these terms, we remove it and close the account of the person who shared it, and we may stop them from using Stackd again.

Stacks expire

Stacks are deleted automatically when they expire (7 days by default, never more than 30). Stackd is not a backup service. Save anything you want to keep to your own device.

The service

We work hard to keep Stackd running smoothly, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free, and we may change or stop features. Stackd is free to use. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law as a consumer in the UK.

Our responsibility

We're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that's a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We're not responsible for loss that isn't foreseeable, for content shared by other users, or for photos lost after a stack expires. We don't exclude liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Privacy & legal → Delete account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Changes to these terms

If we make important changes, we'll tell you in the app before they take effect, and ask you to agree to them. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.

Apple and the App Store

If you got Stackd from Apple's App Store:

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales, unless you live elsewhere in the UK and the law says otherwise.
